Soul Care Experiences

Make space to slow down and connect with your inner wisdom.

Soul care experiences are spaces designed to help you slow down, reflect and integrate what you’re learning in any given season about life, community, your self, your work and more. These spaces are meant to help you listen more deeply to your inner wisdom, to embrace mystery and creativity, and to help you discover more of who you are meant to be in the world.

The pace off modern life leaves little room for self-reflection, thoughtfulness and deep listening. As society increasingly departs from traditional religious institutions and spiritual communities, many are desperate for safe and creative environments to do their inner work.

I created these offerings because I know how important spiritual growth and self-reflection are for leading wholehearted, compassionate and integrated lives. If you’re longing for more spaciousness in your daily life, these soul care experiences are for you.

Through contemplative writing spaces, retreats and seasonal pauses for reflection, you will experience greater clarity and connection with yourself, others and the work you value most.

Contemplative Writing Circles

Held virtually and in-person, contemplative writing circles are small gatherings for people who journal as a spiritual practice, or people who want to start journaling as a spiritual practice. As your facilitator, I will guide the group through a meditation, movement or breath work exercise, followed by a time of personal journaling (prompts provided) and group sharing. These spaces last about 90 minutes, with room to linger after for those who are interested.

The objective of this soul care experience is for you to connect with your inner voice, to make space to get your inner churning out and onto the page, and for you to be witnessed in your process to the extent that you want to be. It’s all about connection and care.

Tools you’ll need: a journal or paper, a writing utensil you love, a candle and a physical location that makes you feel settled and at home.

COST: $35.00 USD

Dates for Upcoming Writing Circles (Virtual): November 27th

Slow down. Make room. Take your time.

The Seasonal Examen—an invitation to pause.

The Seasonal Examen, held quarterly, is a contemplative time for you to reflect on the past three months of the year. From the tradition of Ignatian spirituality, you will be guided through an exercise to help you reflect on both your inner movements of spirit, as well as the movements of the Divine, through the highs and lows of the previous season.

You could, of course, do this reflection on your own, but it helps to opt-in to a collective moment of listening, reflection and sharing.

When you’re done with this experience, you will have a clearer sense of who you are, what you value, and how you might set intentions for your upcoming season of the year.

COST: $35.00 - $50.00 USD

Upcoming Dates:
June 22 (Marking the Summer Solstice)
September 21 (Marking the Fall Equinox)
December 28th* (End of year reflection)

Frequently Asked Questions |

  • As a facilitator, contemplative and mystical Christian tradition is my home base. These experiences, however, are designed with a diverse array of spiritual traditions in mind. I weave poetry, breathwork, meditation and creativity into all of these offerings. They are ultimately designed to create space for you to connect more deeply with your own inner wisdom and experience of the Divine.

  • I charge a fee for these offerings to make facilitating sustainable for me as a business owner and practitioner. But if cost is ever prohibitive, and if you feel safe doing so, please email me to let me know at hello@bethaneywilkinson.com and we can explore options.

  • I’m so sorry you’ve had that experience. I’ve been there and it’s not easy. If your pain feels especially charged, 1:1 spiritual direction may be a better fit than one of these group spaces. If it’s any consolation, know that these spaces are not instructive. My role is not to teach or preach, but rather to hold the space with curiousity and support so that you can do your own inner work. If you have more questions about this, please email me at hello@bethaneywilkinson.com.

  • The Examen is a reflection exercise designed to help you look back over a period of time and to capture how the Divine has been present in your story through the highs and lows you have experienced. I hold these quarterly according to the seasons of the year.

The contemplative writing circles are focused on whatever you bring to the space, may be more topical in nature, and can be reflective of the past, attentive to the present, or in consideration of the future. You can always try both and see which you’d like better.
