Hey there—I’m Bethaney.
I believe some of the most revolutionary changes we can make in the world are the ones we cultivate within ourselves. As a facilitator, coach and spiritual director, I’m passionate about holding spaces and creating experiences to nourish the inner lives of everyday people, leaders, and organizations. I do this work because I’ve experienced immense healing and transformation when folks have held sacred and thoughtful space for my evolution. My highest aim is to be able to do the same for you.
What does it mean to “hold space”?
It means harmonizing distinct voices and weaving ideas. It means listening deeply and modeling curiousity. It means cultivating non-anxious presence and psychological safety so that people can reflect, learn, connect, build trust, and move forward together. Some of the spaces I hold are structured, i.e. my cohorts, retreats and facilitation partnerships. Other spaces are more unstructured and free flowing, i.e spiritual direction and 1:1 coaching. Ultimately, my goal is to meet you where you are with connection, care and grace so that you have room to become all that you desire to be as a leader, community member, and agent of healing and transformation in the world.

My Racial Equity and Social Justice Lineage
My racial equity and social justice work flows from many streams, including: the tradition of Black Christian liberation theology, the academic study of educational history and sociology, and my lived experiences as a Black woman raised in Black family in the Deep South. From this lineage I have a few strong convictions:
One—All humans are worthy of dignity and respect, regardless and inclusive of their racial identities.
Two—Social structures have the power to create advantage for some and barriers for others.
Three—We are all indigenous to some place and part of our racial healing work is to re-member who we are.
